Vector Construction Installations Ltd — Company No. 17132416 Last updated: 3 July 2026 24 Edgehill Road, Chislehurst, BR7 6LB

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of construction and installation services (the “Services”) by Vector Construction Installations Ltd (“Vector”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to any customer (“you”, “your”, “Customer”) who engages us for residential, HVAC, commercial, or electrical installation work across Chislehurst, Bromley, Sidcup, Orpington, and South East London, whether via our website, telephone, email, or in person.

By requesting a quote, booking a survey, accepting a quotation, making a payment, or otherwise instructing us to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not engage our Services.

2. Our Services

We provide four core service lines:

  • Residential Fittings — kitchen installations, bathroom fittings, internal fixtures, door and window installations, storage and built-in units, and landlord/pre-let refurbishment work
  • HVAC Installations — heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ductwork, heat pumps, and system commissioning
  • Commercial Fittings — office fit-outs, retail unit fittings, commercial kitchens, partitioning, joinery, and sub-contract installation packages
  • Electrical Installations — full rewires, consumer unit installation, circuit additions, lighting, socket additions, and EV charger installation

We work with homeowners, landlords, builders/developers, and commercial clients. All work is quoted individually based on a site survey and specification, with a documented, written quote provided before any work begins.

3. Quotations, Estimates & Pricing

3.1 All quotations are provided free of charge following a site visit or remote assessment and are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Quotations are based on the information and access available at the time of survey. If, once work commences, additional issues, non-compliant existing installations, or unforeseen site conditions are discovered, we will notify you promptly and provide a revised quotation before proceeding with any additional work.
3.3 All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where Vector Construction Installations Ltd is VAT registered, unless stated otherwise on the quotation or invoice.
3.4 We reserve the right to request a deposit before commencing work. Deposits are used to secure materials, labour, and scheduling and are treated in accordance with Clause 6 of our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy.
3.5 Fixed prices displayed on our website and checkout reflect labour costs for standard-scope packages. Additional work outside the described scope will be quoted separately and agreed with you before proceeding.

4. Bookings, Site Visits & Access

4.1 By booking a site visit, survey, or installation date, you confirm that you have the authority (as owner, tenant with landlord consent, developer, main contractor, or authorised representative) to instruct works at the property.
4.2 You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time. Failed access appointments (where our team attends and cannot gain entry, or the appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice) may incur a call-out charge, details of which will be confirmed at the time of booking.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment terms are as stated on the applicable invoice or quotation.
5.2 We accept payment by bank transfer and card payment via our secure embedded checkout, processed through our payment service provider. Vector Construction Installations Ltd does not store your full card details.
5.3 Milestone invoicing may apply to larger commercial or construction projects, with payments due at agreed stages. Final payment for standard packages is due on satisfactory completion of the agreed works, subject to Clause 7 (Workmanship and Guarantees).
5.4 Late Payment: Sums not paid by the due date may attract statutory interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (for business customers) or, for consumer customers, reasonable interest at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, accruing daily from the due date until payment is received in full.
5.5 Card payments taken through our checkout are governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which explains that card payment is only requested once work has been completed and you have confirmed satisfaction.

6. Refunds and Cancellation

See our separate policy Full details of your cancellation rights, our deposit terms, and our refund process are set out in our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Workmanship, Guarantees & Compliance

7.1 All work is carried out in compliance with applicable UK Building Regulations, the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) for electrical work, and relevant manufacturer specifications for HVAC installations.
7.2 We provide a workmanship guarantee on installations we carry out, the specific duration and scope of which will be confirmed on your invoice or completion certificate. This guarantee does not cover faults arising from misuse, third-party interference, pre-existing defects not identified at survey stage, or normal wear and tear.
7.3 Where you believe work is defective, you must notify us in writing within a reasonable time of discovering the issue, and provide us with a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, remedy the work before seeking any other remedy, including a chargeback or third-party repair at our cost.
7.4 Every project finishes with a formal sign-off, with certification and documentation provided where applicable.
7.5 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to have services performed with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price where not agreed in advance.

8. Liability

8.1 We maintain public liability insurance appropriate to the scale of our operations. Details are available on request.
8.2 Subject to Clause 8.4, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total price paid for the Services giving rise to the claim.
8.3 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of income, loss of business, or loss of opportunity, except where such loss arises from our negligence in circumstances where it was reasonably foreseeable.
8.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

9. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By engaging our Services, you acknowledge that your data will be processed as described therein.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, supply chain disruption, or restrictions imposed by public authorities.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, save that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their own jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or business practices. The version in force at the time you place a booking or accept a quotation will apply to that contract.
